buildup - the Swiss competence center for product data in the construction industry and ProMaterial, the sales technology focused startup from Germany agree on a strategic cooperation. The main goal of the cooperation is the use of synergies and thereby the expansion of the service offering with the launch in the Swiss market.
buildup has built up a broad pool of high-quality product data in its product data library through many years of successful activity in the Swiss market. In recent months, the connection to various sales channels has been strongly concretized in order to open up further digital sales channels for the manufacturer partners in addition to the established partnership such as with Allplan, MuM (Revit), Vectorworks or Sorba, among others. In this context, talks with ProMaterial were intensified.
On the part of the startup ProMaterial, which is growing very fast in Germany, it was a welcome opportunity to continue the path already taken in Switzerland with a strong and established partner. For the customers of both companies, the closer cooperation offers additional access to high-quality data expertise and a high-value technology framework.
In a first step, the cooperation will be systematically launched in Switzerland in order to subsequently offer a broader range of joint services in Germany as well. In particular, ProMaterial's highly versatile e-sourcing and e-commerce solutions open up a new area for buildup in which the enriched product data can fully demonstrate its added value. In turn, it is a tremendous accelerator for ProMaterial in rolling out the technology and it allows them to fully focus on their core competencies.
